This range includes a simple inspection microscope for examining solid samples such as leaves and rocks, and a range of simple trasmission microscopes for examining prepared slides. The inspection microscope is also used in factories and workshops for checking items such as drill bits and jewellery.
ATM-400 Educational Series Microscopes
These microscopes are purpose-built teaching instruments of modern design & robust construction ideal for GCSE biology studies. Excellent optical performance is provided by DIN standard optics. Two identical models are available with a choice of either a plano-concave mirror or 230v 15w illumination.
Anti-tamper safety features essential for school use include locked-on eyepiece and stage clips, slip-clutch on the coarse focus movement to prevent over-focussing and an internal focus-stop to prevent damage to glass microslides and objective lenses.
Ultra-400 Advanced Student Microscopes
The Zenith ULTRA-400 series are purpose-built teaching instruments finished to a very high standard, combining excellent optical performance and a very reliable, modern, user-friendly design with a mechanical construction designed to withstand the rigours of everyday heavy classroom use.
All models feature high quality DIN standard optics, anti-tamper safety features included locked on eyepiece and stage clips, slip clutch on the coarse focus movement to prevent over focussing and an adjustable focus stop to prevent damage to glass microslides and objective lenses.
Lumax Advanced Student Cordless Microscopes with LED Illumination
Ideal for GCSE biology studies at all levels, this new series of cordless microscopes incorporates innovative LED illumination technology into a proven microscope design, which features all the essential ‘Anti-Tamper’ features demanded by heavy school use.
The microscope features a powerful rechargeable battery, located in the base, which is charged in situ with the mains power supply supplied. Charging time is typically 5-6 hours and when fully charged, the continuous discharge time is more than 50 hours. Under normal use, the LED bulb can last for more than 10,000 hours. The level of illumination is suitable even for high-power oil immersion work at x1000.
BM-100FL Binocular College Microscope
A high quality binocular microscope designed to meet the needs of the more advanced biology student at an economical price. Combines excellent optical performance and a robust, reliable ergonomic design. Anti-tamper safety features include locked on stage clips, slip clutch on the coarse focussing movement and an adjustable focus stop.
Ultra-500 Laboratory Microscopes
Full sized laboratory-standard instruments of modern ergonomic design, robust reliable construction and high optical performance. Ideal for use in schools, colleges and professional laboratories over a wide range of biological, medical, veterinary, bacteriological and agricultural applications. Highly recommended.
Three models are available with the same basic specifications but different heads. These are the monocular (viewing with one eye), binocular (viewing with both eyes) and trinocular (viewing with both eyes plus a camera port to attach an SLR or DSLR camera).
Microlab-1000 Digital Binocular Laboratory Microscope
Full-sized laboratory-standard instrument incorporating a 1.3 megapixel (1280x1024) built-in CMOS digital camera. Display and capture live images directly to your PC with ease, via a USB 2.0 cable using user-friendly ScopeImagePlus application software.
Microlab-2000 Laboratory Research Microscopes
Professional high performance compound laboratory microscope of modern reliable and ergonomic construction. Designed for routine investigations and laboratory diagnoses over a wide range of tertiary educational, medical and research applications. Excellent optical performance is provided by planachromatic objective lenses, offering crisp, high contrast images and a flat field of view. This instrument offers superb versatility as it is easily upgradable for use over a wide range of microscopical techniques and applications.
Three models are included in the range, including binocular and trinocular brightfield options and a dedicated trinocular phase-contrast microscope.
Stereoscopic Inspection Microscopes
These stereoscopic microscopes incorporate pairs of objective lenses as well as two eyepieces to provide true stereoscopic views of three-dimensional objects illuminated from above. They are especially suitable for viewing opaque objects that cannot be prepared as transparent slides. Examples are jewelery, coins, stamps, small drill bits and a very wide range of everyday objects.
The STM microscopes are designed for small objects placed on the base, but the STM-J and STM-1 can be placed over larger objects which can be viewed through the base when the cover plate is removed. For routine use with larger objects we recommend the STL-80 with its long-reach arm that can be positioned over a wide range of objects. It has a locking ring to enable it to be swung to either side without changing height.
Stereoscopic Zoom Inspection Microscopes
High performance full sized professional zoom stereo microscope ideal for use over a wide range of industrial, medical & educational applications. Features x7-x45 continuous zoom facility providing delightfully sharp, crisp, upright stereoscopic images. The magnification can be increased up to x180 with addition of the optional eyepieces and supplementary objectives that are available.
The two models have the same basic specification. The STZ-3500 has a binocular head while the STZ-4500 has a trinocular head to attach a camera.
